Non-gaming Majestic Las Vegas scheduled to open in 2023
AUGUST 26, 2019
The Majestic, a new non-gaming hospitality concept, is expected to break ground in Las Vegas next year.
Located at the site of the former Clarion Hotel, two blocks from the northern part of The Strip, the Majestic Las Vegas will rise 620 feet and comprise 720 rooms, six restaurants and a live entertainment area. The $850 million luxury resort project is scheduled to open by early 2023.
The property will also house a 70,000-square-foot fitness, nutrition and medical spa facility, positioning it as a “wellness destination.” The facility will offer body treatments and activities such as yoga and spinning, as well as access to personal nutritionists and comprehensive physicals.
Additionally, the Majestic Las Vegas will offer several floors of corporate “Sky Suites.” Spanning floors 51 to 60, the Sky Suites are offered in quarter floor, half floor and entire floor options of up to 25,000 square feet and are designed to serve as a “corporate home for a tech, entertainment or sports company.” Sky Suites owners will be granted access to an Owner’s Club and private concierge services, as well as permanent marquee signage.
“It is time for Las Vegas to provide a luxury option for those who visit our city who want something that is non-gaming,” Majestic Las Vegas developer Lorenzo Doumani said in a statement. “Whether you want to relax in the lap of luxury, host a meeting or event in your own corporate space, facilitate an executive retreat or launch a new product, Majestic Las Vegas offers the ideal marriage of sophistication, luxury and strategic location.”
The Majestic joins a flurry of development activity near the relatively sparse northern end of the Las Vegas Strip. In addition to the 4,000-room Drew Las Vegas and the 3,000-room Resorts World Las Vegas projects currently under construction in the area, the North Strip-based SLS Las Vegas recently announced that it would be embarking on a comprehensive renovation project and relaunch as the Sahara Las Vegas this fall.
The Majestic will also be located directly across from the Las Vegas Convention Center, which is currently undergoing a major overhaul and expansion effort and is expected to open in 2021.
