New resort coming to Las Vegas will have no gambling & won’t allow smoking

For the first time a resort is opening in Las Vegas, Nevada that won’t have any gambling. Majestic Las Vegas is slated to open in 2024 a few blocks from the Strip and across from the Las Vegas Convention Center with construction set to begin in July of this year.

Looking to create a different type of space that “Las Vegas truly needed,” says developer Lorenzo Doumani, the resort not only will be gambling-free, but will be non-smoking, as well.

Other than that the resort will offer amenities that many come to expect when visiting Sin City such as 720 suites, dancing fountains, restaurants, outdoor pool overlooking the strip and a medical spa that takes up four floors.

Taking over the space that was formerly a Clarion Hotel at 305 Convention Center Drive, a groundbreaking ceremony is expected to be held on July 4, 2021.

NEW MAJESTIC LAS VEGAS RESORT TO FOCUS ON WELLNESS

The new $750 million Majestic Las Vegas is turning its back on smoking and gambling and instead will roll the dice on a healthy lifestyle experience for guests with six restaurants, a ‘medical spa’, and a fitness and wellness centre.

Guests will be able to receive personalized nutrition and fitness plans created by the nutritionists and trainers, as well as having access to classes including yoga, spinning, and interval training. There will be plenty of spa treatments at the impressive 70,000 sq ft spa covering four floors of the hotel.

Lobby, Majestic Las Vegas, Healthy Living + TravelThe Majestic Las Vegas will feature a five-star hotel with 720 luxurious suites, as well as a large pool complex with 50 cabanas offering views of the Las Vegas Strip.

The hotel promises to offer a ‘no noise’ experience, although there will be some live entertainment on offer, for example by the large pool complex or on the resort’s main plaza near the restaurants

The Majestic isn’t the first non-gaming hotel in Las Vegas – but it is unusual for a resort of this size in Sin City not to feature gaming facilities such as a casino. The Platinum Hotel & Spa was one of the first non-smoking and non-gaming hotels in Las Vegas, and in 2020 the Park MGM and NoMad Las Vegas became the first smoke-free casino resorts on the Strip.

Poolside, Majestic Las Vegas, Healthy Living + TravelMajestic purchased the six-acre property at 305 Convention Center Drive, where the Clarion Hotel sat, in 2014 and imploded the structure in 2015. Still, it’s located just two blocks away from The Strip so those who do want to go exploring the nightlife won’t have to travel far.

Construction for the new resort is set to start later this year, and it’s expected that the Majestic will open its doors to guests in 2024.
